Mountain Angler is Summit County’s oldest and most experienced fly fishing guide service, founded, owned and operated by fly fishing legend Jackson Streit, since 1985. We are proud to have the best and most experienced guide staff in the region. Located at in Breckenridge, CO we are situated in an angler’s paradise, within an hour drive of five major rivers; Blue River, Eagle River, Colorado River, Arkansas River and South Platte River. We also have the option to fish dozens of smaller tributary streams, 4 major reservoirs with record-breaking fish, and even a few “lunker” ponds; virtually any type of trout fishing you might want. We offer guiding fly fishing trips year round.

Mountain Angler is permitted to fish virtually all public fishing water in our area. Located in Breckenridge, CO we are situated in an angler’s paradise, within an hour drive of five major rivers, dozens of smaller tributary streams, 4 major reservoirs with record-breaking fish, and even a few “lunker” ponds; virtually any type of trout fishing you might want.
Private Water Trips
Mountain Angler has exclusive rights to some of the most highly regarded private water fishing in Colorado. Private water trips ensure that you and your party will be the only ones on the water! For each Ranch, Mountain Angler limits the number of fisherman days per week throughout the year to limit the fishing pressure and maintain the high quality fishing fishing that our clients have come to expect!
We open reservations for private ranches on January 15th each year. Most of our ranches book out for the summer months, so if you know you would like to book private water, please make sure to do so in advance.
