Mark grew up fishing with his dad and grandpa on the diverse waters surrounding the Ozark Mountains of Missouri chasing trout on the Taneycomo, bass on Table Rock, and crappie on Pomme De Terre lake. Shortly after graduating from Drury University and moving to Park County in 1996, Mark’s brother- in- law handed him his first fly rod and introduced him to the legendary middle fork of the South Platte. This intro quickly led to the discovery of Spinney Mountain Reservoir, where any angler (beginner or expert) stand the chance of landing a record setting trout. If you love landing 5 pound cuttbows, rainbows, browns, and the occasional pick, then you’ll love Spinney. His days off guiding, you can find Mark float fishing many rivers in the area with his wife and daughters. You’ll find Mark chasing saltwater fish off the Gulf of Florida and Yucatan in Mexico. Some of his favorite salt water fish are Tarpon and Permit and and any fish willing to eat his fly! Mark guides from a 17 foot Deep-V Lund motorboat or a 14 foot Aire Cataraft , both built for fly fishing Colorado and keeping clients safe and on fish!
