As a Dallas, Texas native, Derek grew up fly fishing for bass and any other warm water species he could find, making it up to the mountains as often as possible. Derek moved to Breckenridge to pursue an outdoor lifestyle. He loves sharing his passion for fly fishing with others and it was an easy choice to become a guide. In his free time, Derek enjoy fishing, snowboarding, and hiking with his high school sweetheart Ashley.
