Spinny Mountain Reservoir, located in South Park, is a designated “Gold Metal” fishery and arguably the most productive stillwater fishery in the state, with record breaking potential. The lake is best fished from a boat, however fishing the flats along the shorelines can be very exiting as well. Generally, the lake is best fished with a nymph rig, but dry fly and streamer fishing are not uncommon. While Spinney is an awesome fishery, it is completely exposed to the elements, with no buffer from the infamous South Park winds. Check the weather and pick a calm, clear day.
